(03.07.2026, Cologne) Since June 2026, M Assist has been a member of the E-Rezept-Enthusiasten e. V. The focus is on actively shaping the digitalisation of the healthcare sector and bringing practical solutions into care faster, particularly in the area of medical aids and appliances.

Who are the E-Rezept-Enthusiasten?‍

The E-Rezept-Enthusiasten are an association dedicated to promoting digitalisation in healthcare. At the heart of their work is the e-prescription as a central foundational application — one that, when implemented correctly, can become a true accelerator for digital care.

With the nationwide rollout for prescription medicines, the e-prescription has arrived in everyday care. At the same time, it is clear: for it to deliver the greatest possible benefit to patients and healthcare providers, continued practical development is needed — including in its interaction with other digital applications and regulatory frameworks.

Focus on medical aids: implementing the e-prescription in practice

A particular focus of the association is also on medical aids and appliances: the E-Rezept-Enthusiasten advocate for a practical implementation of the electronic prescription (eVO) in this area and contribute concrete ideas and impulses.

As a non-profit initiative, the E-Rezept-Enthusiasten see themselves as educators and facilitators: members come from GP practices, pharmacies, medical aid providers, patient organisations, as well as digital, IT, and media companies. The goal is to support practical solutions, reduce misinformation, and raise awareness of the benefits of the e-prescription through their own communication formats as well as events and trade fair appearances. The association also positions itself as an independent information and advisory platform for patients and healthcare providers.

Why M Assist joined

M Assist became a member of the E-Rezept-Enthusiasten because the company wants not just to observe the digitalisation of healthcare, but to actively help shape it. The e-prescription is an important building block and at the same time just the beginning. For it to create tangible benefits in everyday practice, it takes speed, practical relevance, and collaboration across organisational boundaries.

One of the key reasons lies in the medical aids sector: this is where it becomes particularly clear whether digitalisation actually arrives in everyday practice or whether it gets stuck at interfaces, roles, and requirements. M Assist wants to bring exactly this care perspective to the table and contribute to ensuring that the electronic prescription (eVO) for medical aids is implemented in a practical, plannable, and cleanly integrated way within the telematics infrastructure (TI).

M Assist supports medical supply retailers, homecare providers, and medical technology companies in translating strategic, regulatory, and digital requirements into better workflows in everyday care. And because M Assist knows the TI not just in theory, the team also brings experience from completed TI pilot projects to the conversation.
