M Assist is an official Odoo Partner

M Assist expands its ERP portfolio to include Odoo – always focused on the right solution

Many companies in the healthcare sector face the same question: Which ERP system truly fits our processes – today and in the future? The answer does not start with choosing a vendor. It starts with understanding your own workflows.

An expanded portfolio for different requirements

For many years, we have supported companies in the healthcare sector in digitizing their business processes. Until now, the focus of our projects has primarily been on Microsoft Business Solutions, especially Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Business Central.

Since June 2026, we have also been an official Odoo Partner, expanding our solution portfolio with another powerful ERP platform.

Microsoft Business Solutions will continue to be an essential part of our services – especially where complex finance processes, international corporate structures, extensive compliance requirements or deep customization are required.

At the same time, Odoo opens up new possibilities for organizations looking for a modern, integrated ERP solution with an attractive price-to-value ratio and whose requirements are more strongly driven by operational process management than by highly complex finance environments.

We do not see these systems as competing products, but as different tools for different requirements.

We continuously monitor the enterprise software market and develop our portfolio accordingly. Depending on the situation, additional solutions or specialized applications may also be the best fit in the future. Our goal is always to recommend the solution that best supports each client’s needs from a functional, economic and strategic perspective.

When Odoo is particularly suitable

Odoo can be a strong option when companies want to integrate workflows more tightly – for example, by reducing siloed tools, minimizing manual handovers and establishing a shared data foundation for all involved teams.

Odoo also covers many adjacent areas – such as fleet management, event management or a customer service portal.

In some scenarios, Odoo can be less strict in input validation than other solutions. Depending on the use case, that can increase flexibility – while in highly standardized, heavily automated environments it may require tighter process and data governance to achieve the desired level of automation.

More than simply adding another product

For us, this step is far more than adding another product. It underlines our consulting approach:

Not every organization needs the same software. What matters is which solution best supports a company’s requirements – today and tomorrow.

There is no single best ERP system – only the right one

In many tenders, the conversation starts with software. Our experience from numerous ERP and digitization projects shows something different:

Project success is not determined by choosing a vendor, but by how well processes, organization and software fit together.

Companies often differ far more than it seems at first glance.

An example from the healthcare sector:

A medical supply provider processing 1,000 prescriptions per day as a full-service provider has completely different ERP requirements than a diabetes supplier handling 1,000 prescriptions per day as well.

Even if both organizations:

- operate multiple locations

- employ field service teams

- require warehouse and logistics capabilities, and

- bill payers/insurers

- their processes can differ significantly.

A full-service provider, for example, must manage a much broader product range, more complex warehouse and logistics processes, workshop and service offerings, medical device supply across multiple care areas, and extensive contract structures.

A specialized diabetes supplier, by contrast, often benefits from highly standardized processes, a high degree of automation, and significantly lower variant complexity.

Company size or prescription volume alone therefore says little about which ERP system is truly suitable.

Digitization starts with processes – not with software

That is why our consulting does not begin with the question: Which ERP system do you want to implement?”

Instead, we ask:

How do you work today—and how do you want to work tomorrow?

- Which processes create real value?

- Where do handoffs and breaks in information flow occur?

- What regulatory requirements must be met?

- What growth goals are you pursuing?

- What level of automation makes sense?

- What investment is economically appropriate?

Only once these questions are answered can we determine which solution will deliver the greatest benefit.

How Odoo can simplify day-to-day operations

The value of an ERP system becomes visible in everyday work. When information is centrally available and process steps build on each other reliably, coordination effort decreases, responsibilities become clearer and reporting becomes more dependable.

Examples include:

- less duplicate data entry and fewer follow-up questions

- clearer status and responsibility transparency across teams—potentially also visible to end customers

-traceable handovers between teams and interfaces

- faster reporting and analysis for operational and strategic decisions

Our strength is healthcare

Our consultants know the specific characteristics of the healthcare sector from numerous projects, including in:

- Homecare

- Medical aids and supplies

- Medical supply providers

- Orthotics & prosthetics

- Rehab technology

- Medical technology

- Diabetes care

- Other healthcare service providers

This means we do not only talk about software – we talk about care processes, contract structures, regulatory requirements and operational economics.

This industry expertise is the foundation of every successful ERP implementation.

Technology follows strategy

We do not see ourselves as a sales partner for a single vendor. We see ourselves as a digitization partner for companies in the healthcare sector.

That is why we first work with our clients to assess strategic goals, organizational structure and business processes – before making a product recommendation.

Sometimes Microsoft Business Central is the right choice. Sometimes Odoo is the better fit. And sometimes a specialized industry solution – or a combination of systems – delivers the greatest benefit.

“Our clients do not invest in software – they invest in the future of their company. That is why we do not recommend a solution because it is part of our portfolio, but because it is the best answer – functionally and economically – to the client’s individual requirements. By expanding our portfolio, we intentionally create more freedom of choice and can advise our clients even more effectively.”
